TabToSheetMusic launch
v1.0.0First release: convert plain-text guitar or bass tab and Guitar Pro files into standard notation, fix the rhythm, listen back and export.
2026/10/04
TabToSheetMusic is live at tabtosheetmusic.com. This first release covers the whole path from tab to a file you can hand to someone who reads standard notation.
Bring your tab
- Paste plain-text tab: ASCII tab for 6-string guitar or 4-string bass, the kind you copy from a forum post or your own notes.
- Import Guitar Pro files: .gp, .gp3, .gp4, .gp5 and .gpx.
Get the rhythm right
- Rhythm estimation: note durations are estimated from the spacing in a text tab, instead of treating every note as a quarter note.
- Change durations measure by measure: set the durations of a whole measure in one step rather than editing notes one at a time.
- Playback: listen to the result to check that the rhythm matches what you play.
Hand it over
- Export: PDF to print or send, MusicXML for MuseScore, Sibelius, Dorico or Finale, MIDI, and Guitar Pro.
Converting and previewing work without an account. Exporting requires an account: your first song export is free when you sign up, and after that 1 credit exports 1 song; see the pricing page.
