How We Use Cookies

We use three kinds of cookies. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not sell cookie data.

Essential

These are needed for the site to work and cannot be turned off in our systems:

  • Sign-in session: keeps you signed in after you log in
  • Security: protects sign-in and checkout against fraud and abuse
  • Visitor identifier (visitor_id): an anonymous identifier that lets us apply limits on free features fairly and prevent abuse, without requiring an account
  • Checkout: remembers what you were buying while you complete payment with Stripe

Functional

  • Interface preferences: remembers choices such as whether the sidebar is open
  • Work in progress: your browser's local storage may keep the tab you were working on, so it is not lost if you reload the page

Analytics

  • PostHog: helps us understand how people use the converter, which errors occur and where conversions go wrong, including session recordings of page interactions. Password fields are not recorded

Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you:

  • See and delete the cookies stored on your device
  • Block all cookies, or only third-party cookies
  • Be notified before a cookie is set

If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in or export files. Converting and previewing may still work.
